Ambulance Service Customers Data Breach

Ambulance2The City of Yuma says there was a breach in their data processing associated with the ambulance service.

In October of last year Advanced Data Processing Incorporated learned that one of their employees had improperly accessed personal information from several ADPI clients, including the City of Yuma.

No City of Yuma employees were involved in the breach of personal information.

ADPI and the City of Yuma sent letters out to all affected ambulance service customers, however some letters were returned undeliverable. In the case of undeliverable notices, federal guidelines require that healthcare providers pursue an alternate remedy, one of which is to post a conspicuous notice for at least 90 days on the homepage of the covered entity.

If you would like further information, including whether you were one of the customers they were unable to contact, please call 928-373-4864.
