American Heart Association Reminds Hunters Of Heart Risks While Hunting

It is the peak of the hunting season for most Arizona species. And every year, media reports include stories of hunters suffering heart attacks in the field during this time of year. Gary Myers with the American Heart Association says hunters who have not had a physical or exercised much in the year since the last hunt, are not really prepared – and may be putting themselves at risk for a heart attack.

Myers says no one should hunt alone, and hunters should always remember to tell friends or family about their location and scheduled return.
