Arizona’s Jobless Rate Falls For First Time Since Spring

Finally some good news in Yuma County on the jobless rate. For the first time since early spring, the jobless rate fell. The rate for August is 32.6%. The Yuma Sun says July’s rate was adjusted to 33.2%, the highest rate in the country. The number originally reported was 34.5% in July. Reports indicate that a number of Yuma area businesses have closed and two produce companies have announced they will not open this year.
