Arizona Receives $1.2 Million For Federal Public Housing


Four public housing authorities in Arizona will share more than $1.2 million in federal grants. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced the grants Friday. Illegal Gambling Raid In Flagstaff


An investigation into allegations of illegal gambling has resulted in a raid at a Flagstaff business and two Arizona homes. The Arizona Daily Sun reports law enforcement officials served a search warrant at a Fourth Street business early Thursday. Girls Scouts Place Memorial Crosses Alongside Yuma Proving Grounds


A local Girl Scout troop will placing three memorial crosses alongside the Yuma Proving Ground's Laguna Dam Road on Monday. Over 25 memorial/remembrance sites are located at the Yuma Proving Ground and the three crosses will replace crosses that have deteriorated over time. Wellton Hires New Police Chief


The Town of Wellton says they have finally hired a police chief. Russ Ellis will be relocating to Wellton from Washington State. The Yuma Sun says Ellis has served as a police chief but then retired.
