The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office has identified the posse member shot during a robbery and police chase. The office said that 63-year-old Phillip Grigg was shot this week while attempting to assist a Phoenix officer who also was shot. Deputies said Grigg has undergone multiple surgeries and remains in critical condition. The office says that Grigg has been a posse volunteer for three years. The Arizona Republic reports that Grigg's wife, Elizabeth, said at a news conference she was proud of her husband. She says he has a lot of internal damage but is "coming along." A robbery of $18,000 from two strip club employees Tuesday in east Phoenix led to a police chase and the wounding of Phoenix Officer Scott Sefranka and Grigg. Two men have been charged and a third suspect was arrested Friday.
