Border Patrol Agents Arrest Three Smugglers Over The Weekend

United States Border Patrol agents from Blythe Station arrested three smugglers and seized $780,000 worth of methamphetamine in separate incidents during the weekend.
Friday, a Mexican national with U.S. Legal Permanent Resident status, attempted to drive through a Border Patrol checkpoint on Highway 95. A canine unit alerted to the man’s truck, leading to the discovery of nearly 42-pounds of meth hidden in the vehicle.
Saturday, agents apprehended two U.S. citizens on Interstate-Ten, near Intake Boulevard, after finding 24-pounds of meth hidden in the trunk of their car.
All three subjects and the narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
