Border Patrol’s Search And Rescue Team Comes To The Aid Of Distressed immigrant

US-Border-PatrolWith temperatures reaching triple digits, El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents rescued an undocumented Mexican national Tuesday who lost his way in the mountains while making an attempt to illegally enter the United States with temperatures reaching triple digits. 

Border Patrol dispatch received a call from the California Highway Patrol regarding an illegal alien who was lost in a remote area of the mountains approximately 29 miles west of Calexico and was requesting medical attention.

The Border Patrol’s Search Trauma and Rescue team was notified and deployed a team to the area.  After a systematic search of the area, BORSTAR agents encountered the man in distress.  The 21-year-old man stated he was physically exhausted and his last drink of water had been over 12 hours ago.  BORSTAR agents examined the man and rendered first aid.  The man declined any further medical treatment.
