The Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona and the City of Yuma Fire Department will hold their Third Annual Camp Fury – Yuma for young ladies in sixth—through-12th grade starting tonight. Events will also be held on Saturday and next Saturday, April 20th.
This fire camp will provide a hands-on learning environment at the City of Yuma Public Safety Training Facility. Participants will learn and perform firefighting skills with fire department equipment and gear.
They will learn lifesaving emergency medical techniques including Continuous Chest Compression CPR, and basic first aid.
Participants will also learn emergency preparedness and work towards earning the Be Prepared Patch developed by The Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital and FEMA’s Citizen Corps. This badge program brings national recognition to the attending Girl Scout.
