Teen Death Following Hit And Run Accident


A 14-year-old girl who was severely injured in an accident Saturday morning has died.  The Yuma Police Department says they are still seeking the vehicle that struck Mary Rodriguez, while she was skateboarding along West 24th Street Saturday morning. Department Of Transportation Reports On Traffic-Pedestrian Fatalities


It is more dangerous to be a pedestrian in Arizona than in many other states. A new report from the federal Department of Transportation finds nearly 18-percent of traffic fatalities in Arizona involved pedestrians, compared with just under 14-percent nationwide. Teacher Arrested On Child Molestation Allegations


A Somerton school teacher has been arrested on allegations of child molestation and furnishing harmful items to minors. 34 year old Gabriel Macias was arrested Saturday following the execution of a search warrant at his residence on South Ninth Avenue. Unemployment Rate In Yuma Increases
