Investigation Continues After Death Of DPS Officer Tim Huffman


The Arizona Highway Patrol Association members are saddened to hear of the loss of Department of Public Safety Officer Tim Huffman.  The nearly fifteen-year veteran was killed in the line of duty after a traffic collision near Wellton on Monday.  Director of Arizona’s Department of Public Safety Robert Halliday flew to Yuma Tuesday afternoon to learn more about the incident.  ... Body Found In Vacant Lot Identified


The Yuma Police Department says the deceased body discovered over the weekend has been identified as that of 72-year-old John David Williams.  His body was discovered in a vacant lot on Elks Lane Sunday.  There is no indication of foul play in the incident. Read More »

Bill Signed Requiring Drug Testing For Taxi Drivers

Home Prices On The Rise


Surveys show U.S. home prices rose 10.5 percent in March compared with a year ago, the biggest gain since March 2006.  Prices are rising in part because more buyers are bidding on a limited supply of homes for sale.  Prices increased in 46 states over the past year – 11 of them posting double-digit gains.  Arizona was third overall with ... 3-Year-Old Drowns In Family Pool
