Calexico Border Patrol Agents Arrest Convicted Sex Offender


U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Calexico station apprehended a convicted sex offender Thursday.  The incident occurred 18 miles east of the Calexico West Port of Entry, when agents encountered a 23-year-old male, Mexican citizen attempting illegal entry into the United States.  Through interview and further inspection, agents determined the man is a previously convicted sex offender.  The man ... Dead Body Found In Yuma Canal


KYMA-TV is reporting that The Yuma County Sheriff's Office found a man dead Sunday morning in a Yuma canal.  Deputies responded to a possible drowning in the 8100 block of Avenue “D”.   A Hispanic man possibly in his late 30s was found dead.   He was wearing all black clothing and is believed to have been on a bicycle.   The cause ... Lawsuit Filed Against EPA Over Bee-Toxic Pesticides


A lawsuit has been filed against the Environmental Protection Agency, claiming it is not doing enough to protect the nation’s declining bee population. The suit was brought by a coalition of beekeepers and environmental groups, including the Pesticide Action Network.
