Yuma Police Investigate After Sen. Don Shooter Confronts School Teacher

Unemployment Rates Down Slightly

Unemployment figures for Yuma County have slightly dropped for the month of February.  The jobless rate sits at 25.6 percent – a nearly one-percent drop from January’s figures.  Last month, over 90,000 were employed, compared to January, 2012 in which nearly 92,000 were working.  Arizona’s jobless rate for the month was 7.9 – a tenth of a percent lower than ... Man Arrested On Drug Charges Now Linked To Identity Theft

A man accused of being in the possession of methamphetamine and several credit cards appeared in court on Thursday.  31-year-old Pasquale Mykal Menyhert was arrested last week at a Yuma hotel room.  Police found evidence of drugs and at least 20 credit cards not belonging to Menyhert.  Police say 42-year-old Laurie Adey was arrested in connection with the credit card ... Border Patrol Stops Illegal Alien Smuggling Attempt
