Sewer Rate Hike Not As High As Feared

Board Of Supervisors To Meet Today

Woman Dies After Crashing Car Into Mittry Lake

One person was killed on Wednesday night after she lost control of her vehicle in the Mittry Lake area.  The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office says 23-year-old Maria Celina Rubio-Morales of Las Vegas, Nevada, was trapped in her vehicle after her car slid sideways and rolled into Mittry Lake.  Police performed CPR on Rubio-Morales until she was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center, ... Toddler Injured After Parking lot Hit And Run

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office says a three-year-old toddler sustained injuries after the child was hit in a parking lot.  Police say the incident occurred Thursday afternoon in a parking lot in the 2600 block of 16th Street in Yuma.  The driver took off after the accident.  The child was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.  Police ... Sex Offender Relocates

The Yuma Police Department says a level three sex offender has relocated to a new residence.  37-year-old Frankie M. Munoz has relocated to 1458 South Thomas Avenue.   Munoz was sentenced in 2003 for six months after being found guilty of having sexual contact with a 13-year-old female.   In 2008, Munoz pled guilty to Failure to Register as a ...
