Drug Enforcement Administration To Hold Seventh Annual Drug Take-Back Day This Saturday

With public participation at an all-time high after six prior events in three years, the Drug Enforcement Administration and its state, local, tribal, and community partners will hold the Seventh Annual Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday. The City of Yuma Police Department has agreed to take part in this initiative and will be collecting potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction from 10am to 2pm. Cruz Vidal of the Yuma Police Department says there are some guidelines to remember.

The city of Yuma is also partnering with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office for the Saturday event. The drugs can be dropped off at the Yuma Police Department at 1500 South First Avenue.
