Drug Sniffing Dog Tips Off Border Patrol To Hidden Meth Stash

US-Border-PatrolA man was busted trying to smuggle $215,000 worth of meth through the San Luis Port of Entry. 

KSWT-TV says Customs and Border Protection officers referred 34-year-old Ricardo Martinez to go through secondary inspection.  A drug-sniffing dog alerted the officers to a hidden compartment underneath the engine of the Lexus sedan Martinez was driving, where they found 19 pounds of meth in ten packages. 

Martinez was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations, and the drugs and car were seized.
