El Centro Sector Border Patrol is staying busy during this hot summer, with a new total of eleven rescued illegal aliens in just the last four weeks. The latest incident occurred Tuesday when a Border Patrol Agent on patrol tracked a group of illegal aliens to the intersection of Mount Signal Road and Highway 98 west of downtown Calexico. The agent encountered six individuals, two of whom appeared to be suffering from heat related illnesses. Emergency medical services were notified, and the two individuals were provided treatment by responding emergency medical technicians. Both individuals were transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center. After being released, the two females, aged 19 and 20, were determined to be Mexican citizen’s illegally present in the United States and were transported to the El Centro Border Patrol station for processing and further evaluation.
