F-35 Jets Grounded

F-35-jetJust one day after a successful test run of the new F-35 Fighter Jets at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, the entire fleet has been grounded once again.

The fleet was grounded after a crack was found in the engine compartment during a routine inspection of a jet at Edwards Air Force Base in California.

The suspension of flight operations will remain in effect until an investigation of the problem's root cause is determined.

The Pentagon says the engine in which the problem was discovered is being shipped to a Pratt and Whitney facility in Connecticut for more thorough evaluation.
