Former AWC Coach Passes Away

Hal-MessersmithFormer Arizona Western College Assistant Football Coach Hal Messersmith has died.  A press release from AWC stated the former coach passed away last week.

Both he and his wife, Kerry Messersmith were members of the Matador Athletic program from 1997 to 2000, helping lead the Matadors to the 1998 Empire State Bowl in Long Island, New York – the program’s first bowl appearance since 1981.
