Fourth Annual “Polar Plunge” To Benefit Special Olympics

The fourth Annual "Polar Plunge" to benefit Special Olympics is scheduled for March 22nd at 9am at the Valley Aquatic Center on West 18th Street. Many states in the United States are participating in Polar Plunges to benefit Special Olympics, with some states setting fundraising records of more than $1 million and have thousands of plungers participating in icy waters. The Yuma Police Department’s theme this year is Villains, so everyone can dress up as your favorite villain and take the plunge. You may plunge as a team or solo. You can register at YumaPlunge2014.kintera.org If you cannot plunge you can also donate at the site. It is simple to make a donation and it is tax deductible.
