KidsCare Health Coverage Available To Many Lower-Income Arizona Families

Kids-CareThanks to a recent expansion of KidsCare health coverage, many thousands of Arizona children from lower-income families are now eligible to immediately join the program.

A KidsCare Summer Sign-Up drive kicks off today, targeting families who may not know their children are eligible. Matt Jewett of Children’s Action Alliance says funding from hospitals and federal matching dollars have made the expansion possible.

Jewett says for a family of four, that is about $46,000 a year.  Premiums for the coverage run from $10 to $70 a month depending on income.  More information is at kidshealthlink.org or 800-235-9678.
