Law Enforcement Deploys Operation Safe Treat Six

In the days leading up to Halloween, Deputy U.S. Marshals, Task Force Officers, and numerous federal, state, local and tribal partners collaborated in “Operation Safe Treat Six.” The operation targeted fugitive sex offenders and child predators with outstanding arrest warrants. 76 arrest warrants were cleared during the operation, ensuring the continued safety of communities throughout Arizona. 36-year-old James Rogers was wanted by the Yuma County Adult Probation Office. Rogers’s sex offender history includes “Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child under Age 14.” Rogers was wanted for Violation of Probation on original charges of Shoplifting, Trafficking Stolen Property, and Possession of Dangerous Drugs. Rogers was located and arrested at a residence in Yuma.
 
28-year-old Edgar Ruiz was wanted by the Yuma County Adult Probation Office. Ruiz’ sex offender history includes a “Sex Offense against Children.” Ruiz was wanted for Violation of Probation on original charges of Attempted Child Molestation. Ruiz was arrested at his place of work in Yuma.
