The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested a person allegedly involved in a domestic violence situation last week.
Police say Gary Smith was found Tuesday morning walking in an area near the Yuma Justice Center on West Second Street. Officers later found Smith inside his attorney’s office, where he surrendered.
Smith is charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping and influencing a witness. The arrest stems from an incident on Friday in which a victim was assaulted on South Palm Avenue.
Smith fled from police and led them on a manhunt for two days following the incident.
Police are asking the victim to contact them concerning the incident.
