A judge in Yuma Superior Court accepted a plea agreement signed by 23-year-old Raul Tejeda Tuesday afternoon. Our television partner KYMATV says Tejeda pled guilty to aggravated assault and endangerment per domestic violence. Tejeda began arguing with the mother of his 11-month-old daughter at a house in Yuma in October 2013. Tejeda rammed the mother’s vehicle and took the child in his truck before heading south towards Mexico. Police chased Tejada, but he refused to stop, trying to ram patrol vehicles off the road. Tejeda eventually made it to the San Luis port of entry, running over spike strips before abandoning his vehicle and leaving his daughter at his father's house. Hours later, family members convinced Tejeda to return to Arizona and turn himself in. Tejeda could spend up to two-and-a-half years in prison.
