The City of Yuma will hold primary and general elections in 2013, and those seeking office now have access to the forms and information they will need in order to run for any of the five seats that will be open.
The City's primary election will be held August 27th for the purpose of nominating and/or electing candidates for mayor, three seats on the City Council and one seat for the presiding municipal judge.
The general election will be held November 5th for the purpose of electing candidates in the event that seats remain following results of the primary election. Those elected to these positions would each serve a four-year term beginning January 1st, 2014.
Candidate nomination packets are available from the Office of the City Clerk, located on the first floor on the east side of Yuma City Hall.
