caraccidentOne man died after a vehicle he was riding in crashed into a utility pole and burst into flames.  It happened Friday night near County 14th and Avenue “G”.

When responders arrived they saw a black Nissan 350Z fully engulfed in flames and a passenger on the opposite side of the road with severe burns.

The driver, 20-year-old Francisco Garcia Junior was pronounced dead at the scene.

Medics flew the 19-year-old surviving victim to a burn center in Phoenix with second and third degree burns covering 70-percent of his body.

His name is being withheld at this time.  Authorities believe alcohol is a factor.
