The Star Ride Home with Jay Fox
Monday - Friday 3pm-7pm
70s Spotlight Saturday with Jay Fox
Saturday 8am-Noon
Jay Fox started his on-air career as "Jammin' JD" in urban radio at WDMT-FM Cleveland in 1985. He became the youngest Program Director in the history of radio at age 19 in 1987 at WZZT-FM until a 16 year old in North Dakota got the nod 2 months later. (Darn kids!) Jay was also the runner-up for young black programmer director of the year in 1987 despite the fact that no one in the industry knew he was not African American. Over the years, Jay Fox has worked in top 40, adult contemporary, oldies and talk radio in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio; Saginaw, Michigan; Lancaster, PA; Raleigh, NC; Greenville, SC; and Albany, GA.
Jay is the father of two daughters (age 13 and 8), an avid cat lover and a member of the Doris Day Animal League. Jay is also an amateur chef and is involved in many charitable organizations including the START WALKING initiative for the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association. In 2009, Jay plans to launch "Walk with Fox" and will attempt to stop eating cookies (good luck, Jay).
