Police And Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area Holding Halloween Festivities

The Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area, in cooperation with the Yuma Police Department, is pleased to announce the “Scary & Safe Trick or Treat” at the Yuma Territorial Prison on Halloween night from 5:30pm to 8pm. McGruff the Crime Prevention Dog, Sparky the Fire Prevention Dog and other local mascots will interact with you while you wait in line.
Local, state, tribal and federal public safety agencies, along with businesses and local non-profit organizations will become temporary “cellmates” at the Prison and will be giving away “tricks or treats” to children 12 and under. Admission fee is $1 per person. Hotdogs, chips and water will be sold as a combo for $2. All proceeds will be donated to the Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
