Police Department Investigating Hit And Run

The Yuma Police Department is investigating a hit and run from Sunday in which a pedestrian sustained minor injuries. Yuma Police Department Officers went to the intersection of 20th Street and Avenue “B” for a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian hit and run. The preliminary investigation revealed a 27-year-old male was crossing westbound in the south crosswalk when he was struck by a black four door passenger car. The car then fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is possibly a 2001 to 2005 black Honda Civic with damage to the right front side and it is missing the passenger side mirror.
