The Yuma Police Department is considering at least four charges against Arizona State Senator Don Shooter. The Yuma Sun reports that the department is looking to charge Shooter with assault, interference or disruption of an educational institution, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct.
The charges stem from an incident last month in which Shooter walked into a classroom at the EOC Charter School on West 16th Street – claiming he was upset with the way his grandson was being educated. Shooter was described by several witnesses as being very angry and was ordered off of school property.
News Talk 560 KBLU has reached out to Shooter for comment since the incident, but he has not returned our emails.
