Quechan Housing Authority To Cease Animal Control Services

Dog-PoundThe Quechan Housing Authority is shutting down their Animal Control services this week.  The Yuma Sun is reporting that the housing authority is running out of funds to operate and will no longer provide such services as of Friday. 

The housing authority in the past has captured an increasing amount of stray animals and taking them to the Humane Society of Yuma. 

The housing authority says it cost them $15,000 in 2012 to provide the services.
