Robbery Suspect Arrested After High-Speed Chase

Police-SirensA suspect from California led police on a high-speed chase for several minutes Monday morning.  The Yuma Police Department says they tried to pull over a suspect – identified as 42-year-old Martin Ramirez Saucedo of Calexico. 

Police want to question him about recent armed robberies, which occurred in Yuma on Sunday morning. 

Saucedo tried to flee to Mexico after entering California, but was unable to do so.  He ended up crashing his vehicle at the corner of First Street and Avenue “B” in Yuma about 15 minutes after the chase started. 

Following the execution of a search warrant, police allegedly found stolen property in his vehicle.  Saucedo was treated for minor injuries and then booked into the Yuma County Jail.
