Talks broke off Tuesday night after making some progress. Talks however, stall on one point. Bus drivers want a guaranteed five-day, 40-hour work week. Workers also want better health insurance and a pay raise.
In case of a strike, the Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority would provide free bus rides if the workers do indeed walk the picket line.
Y-CAT would continue to run routes Mondays through Fridays in the morning and afternoon hours, with the exception of 11:30am to 12:30pm.
