The Yuma Police Department’s Graffiti Task Force, assisted by local federal agencies, served two search warrants on Wednesday, August, 14 in the 2700 block of Fresno Avenue and one in the 1900 block of 16th Place. The search warrants were the result of a year long investigation into multiple cases of criminal damage involving Graffiti which occurred in the city. The damage in the city is estimated at over $11,000 and involved over nine different cases. A 14 year old male was identified as the person responsible for the graffiti. The juvenile used the moniker of “OMEK”. The juvenile was released to his guardian pending further investigation.
