Teenage Boy Flown To Phoenix Hospital After Being Beaten With Baseball Bat


A teenage boy was flown to Phoenix for treatment after he was beaten with a baseball bat. The Yuma Police Department says the unnamed victim was walking with another teenager behind the Albertson’s market on West 24th Street Tuesday night, when an unidentified Hispanic male walked up to the pair and struck one of the teens in the head with a baseball bat, then fled the scene on foot. The victim was taken to the Yuma Regional Medical Center and later flown to a Phoenix hospital.  The suspect is described as about 20-years-old, standing 5’10 tall and weighing 135 pounds. He was wearing a dark colored hoodie and tan pants.
