Two Sex Offenders Change Residences

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office would like to notify the public of the relocation of a sex offender. 48-year-old Darryl Blackwell is now living at 3550 West Eighth Street, Unit 79 in Yuma. He is described as standing six-foot, three-inches tall, weighing 170-pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. In May 2011, Blackwell was convicted by the Yuma County Superior Court of two counts of Indecent Exposure. In 2010, on two separate occasions, Blackwell exposed himself to children under 12-years-old. He was sentenced to one year in prison for both counts. He is currently on probation with the Yuma County Adult Probation Department. Blackwell is a Level three-sex offender, with a high risk to reoffend.

20-year-old Elijah Hernandez is now residing at 3617-and-a-half West Third Place in Yuma. He is described as standing six-feet tall and weighing 265-pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. In May 2012, Hernandez was convicted by the Yuma County Superior Court of Kidnapping per Domestic Violence. Hernandez held a 21-year-old female victim against her will for hours. He is currently on probation. Hernandez is a Level two sex offender with a medium risk to re-offend.
