The informational session will introduce the park volunteer program, explain the assistance needed and describe how to become a volunteer. There will also be a short presentation on the history of the park and an optional tour of the grounds, buildings and exhibits.
Permanent exhibits explore both the military use of the site and the pioneering engineering efforts that grew Yuma's agriculture industry, along with the history of both steamboats and railroads in the region.
The park is also hosting a temporary Alcatraz Island exhibit through April 14th.
