Border Patrol Agents of Yuma Sector’s Wellton Station apprehended 12 men Wednesday and seized 20 bundles of marijuana valued at $426,000. Agents patrolling near Gila Bend spotted what appeared to be people walking toward Highway-85. Agents responding to the location arrested one man and seized 481-pounds of marijuana valued at $216,000. In another incident, agents patrolling in the same area saw a group of eleven men walking toward the Ambian Dairy. Agents responded to the area and arrested four men carrying 468-pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $210,000. The remaining men attempted to abscond but agents tracked and arrested all seven. All individuals and marijuana were turned over to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
