Wellton Man Arrested After Breaking Into Ex-Wife’s Home

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office says one man is in custody following an attempted burglary.  Police say 69-year-old Larry Noll was attempting to break into his ex-wife’s residence in Wellton on Saturday. 

The victim told police Noll had a shotgun as well.  When police arrived on the scene, they found Noll in the alleged possession of a double barrel shotgun and was intoxicated. 

Police with the assistance of Border Patrol agents, used a taser to subdue Noll.  Noll however resisted arrest and during a scuffle with police, the shotgun was fired. 

No one was injured during the scuffle. 

Noll is also prohibited from carrying firearms.
