United States Border Patrol agents from the Yuma Station seized ten-bundles of marijuana and arrested one man near Yuma Tuesday. Agents patrolling near the border in the vicinity of County 14th Street attempted a vehicle stop on a white Ford F-150 but the vehicle did not yield to the agent’s emergency equipment. A short time later, the driver abandoned the vehicle near County 15th and the U.S./Mexico border in an effort to abscond into Mexico. However, agents apprehended the driver before he could cross the border. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of ten bundles of marijuana in the truck’s bed. The marijuana had a combined weight of 234 pounds, worth an estimated $117,0000. The driver and marijuana were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
