Yuma Lettuce Days To Be Held This Weekend

Yuma Lettuce Days will begin on Saturday.

This year's headline chef is two-time Top Chef contestant Chris "CJ" Jacobson. Jacobson will present two live cooking demonstrations each day, backed up by an all-star talent lineup that includes a hometown gal turned cupcake baker, local chefs and even some school cooks who will share their secrets for satisfying more than 22,000 hungry kids every day. Also on tap, "kale gating," a beer garden, Kids' Ag-tivities, cooking contests, a farmers' market, fancy vegetable and ice carving, a salsa cantina where you can mix up a custom blend, plus a tasting event with beers, wines and an array of specialties from local restaurants. Lettuce Days will be at the Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park on the Yuma riverfront 9am-to-5pm Saturday and 9am-to-3pm Sunday. Tickets are $5. Kids 12 and younger admitted free.  Get the full schedule at Yumalettucedays.com.
